NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun 27 – STIHL East Africa has launched a Sh30 million consumer reward campaign ahead of its 1st year anniversary in the Kenyan market.
The campaign dubbed STIHL Ligi ya Power will run in different parts of the country where customers will showcase their prowess in using different STIHL products through mini regional competitions with the culmination being one national winner in each category awarded during the anniversary event.
Some of the products in the competition include high pressure cleaners, vacuum cleaners, chainsaws, tillers and brushcutters among others.
Winners of the competition will walk away with cash prizes, products and brand ambassador deals among others.
STIHL East Africa Marketing Manager Pauline Ngigi says the move is aimed at celebrating loyal customers as well as increasing brand awareness in the country.
“As we celebrate one year in the Kenyan market, we want to reward our loyal customers, who have stood with us throughout the year, as well as showcase the superior power of all our products. Our first year in the Kenyan market as a sales subsidiary has seen our market share increase by 30 percent as we gear towards being the market leader in the region,” she explained.
The move comes as the company is set to increase its footprint in the Ugandan and Tanzania market next month.
“We are expanding our market to other countries in the region. We are set to go live in Uganda, Tanzania and Southern Sudan in the next three months. Customers in these markets can expect availability of quality products, available original spare parts, after sales services,” added STIHL East Africa Sales Manager John Wachira.
STIHL Group launched its East African subsidiary in August 2022, eyeing the growing agriculture, construction, cleaning, forestry and landscaping market.
The firm’s dealership network has expanded to over five regions that include Nairobi, Mt Kenya, Rift Valley, Coast, Eastern and Western regions with over 30 dealers.
